!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Tron: Legacy and Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is working with Tom Cruise on a movie about our favorite of all manufacturer rivalries: 1960's Ford vs. Ferrari at Le Mans.

Yes, Tom Cruise is in it, but Kosinski's a great director, and I can't wait to see what happens with this. Hopefully they go the Ron Howard route and make things as realistic as possible.

As long as Kosinski doesn't try to write the film it could be great; if he does at least it will look fantastic. I like Cruise and he's pretty good in serious roles. Would definitely go see.

Just going to leave this right here

But it does not reflect on my desire to see this come to fruition

I literally was just thinking last night about how this needs to happen.

This has the potential to make 'Rush' look like 'Le Mans'.

While I loved Tron Legacy, I really hated Oblivion. I remain cautiously optimistic for this.

You are wrong. Oblivion was excellent.

Oh that sounds awesome.

More importantly I'll get to watch Ferrari lose. (or catch on fire, they're good at both)

And that makes me smile.

Other than the visual effects (which of course were excellent), what part of that movie did you find above average? The acting was nothing super special, not bad, not great. The story....oh lawd the story. It was so predictable and cliche' (not to mention extremely derivative of a billion other movies plot-point for plot-point) that I was laughing out loud multiple times.

I liked the story. It was a bit predictable, but it was well-paced and the characters were interesting.

But yes, the true excellence was aesthetic.

I did like the fact that Jamie Lannister was in it, but that was pretty much the movie's only redeeming quality to me. That and the redhead from the beginning.

The movie is based on the 'go like hell' book. I read it and it was a really good read. It should make a wonderful story. But dear god please have more dialogue than Tron2. Cruise had better say more than one-liners as reactions. that's all Tron2 was....the son saying things like 'woah, that didn't work'....nothing with meat to it.

I like how a myriad of motorsports films are now coming to light. This is great news for enthusiasts. Hopefully this happens though.

But when you think about it, how many sci-fi filmsare really that original? I mean... The Matrix , Inception ... We tend to expect our sci-fi stories to unseat us like these did. I still enjoy a well-rounded story, even if it's reusing old tea leaves.

I have no problem with non-100%-original ideas, but I felt like some were so blatant to the extent that one could venture to say it "ripped off" other material.

I want this to be treated with the same dignity and love as Rush was by its director.

The fact that Tom Cruise is involved basically fucks that idea right off.
